'ARTISTS AGAINST THE BOMB' (Group Show), Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung, Berlin
September 21, 2026 – January 22, 2027

Nuclear weapons threaten the lives of millions of people. Even today, the health, social, and environmental consequences of nuclear armament are a significant burden, not only in the event of their use, but also through their production and testing, particularly affecting indigenous communities and minorities in former test areas.

The international poster collection ARTISTS AGAINST THE BOMB, initiated by Estudio Pedro Reyes (Mexico City) and the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2017, brings together works by artists from around the world who are committed to a future without nuclear weapons. Historical works and those created specifically for the project combine diverse artistic approaches and demonstrate that art can spark political debate, preserve memory, and make resistance visible.

The exhibition tells of the humanitarian consequences of the nuclear age, the successes of the international disarmament movement, and the collective power of resistance. The moving, provocative, and inspiring works invite visitors to engage with the stories of those affected and to reflect on the responsibility of politics and society in times of nuclear armament.

The exhibition is accompanied by two public events that focus on different perspectives of the topic: the experiences of survivors of nuclear tests and the role of art and culture in the fight for peace and an end to the nuclear threat.
