In 'Afternoon Reconciliate' Stefanie Heinze brings together her characteristic melding of raw materials and surreal, bodily imagery to explore tension, intimacy, and material presence. The heavy texture, from sand and layered paint, and the ambiguous, almost mythical forms invite contemplation of vulnerability, of what resists full articulation.

Heinze’s practice has repeatedly engaged themes of companionship, tenderness, spiritualism, and transformation. Her first institutional solo show 'Your Mouth Comes Second' took place at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin, in 2024.
