During the artist‘s survey exhibition 'Light and Gravity' at the Museum Weserburg, in 2019, Bowers produced a wall drawing in support of the resistance movement against the cutting-down of 136 plantain trees in front of the Bremen museum. This four-part work on paper was subsequently created for her 2020 exhibition 'grief hope' at the Museum Abteiberg in Mönchengladbach.
