This vase brings into dialogue a folk narrative of the werewolf’s encounter with a lover and a clandestine photograph of a drag queen taken in New York in the late 1960s–early 1970s, in the wake of Stonewall. By pairing mythic intimacy with a document of emergent queer visibility, the work situates cross-cultural desire within both legend and lived history, underscoring how private encounters can mirror wider movements of transformation.
