Isabella Ducrot’s work often balances fragility and strength: she uses delicate supports like Japanese Gampi paper, which appear ethereal but are physically resilient. The new works point toward her floral, botanical and domestic motifs that recur in her 'Profusion' series. They emerge as lyrical compositions, light in stroke, with subtle layering of colour and collage, intimacy of scale, and a presence of repetition, her brush often tied to a stick to achieve certain looseness, gesture, and a feeling of tenderness.
"In the series ‘La Bella Terra’, rivers, sky, stars, moon and trees are used again and again in order to compose many laudative songs for the earth’s fundamental virtues and the urge to protect them." – Isabella Ducrot
