'She Is Coming', especially as mirror or reflective surface work, may implicate the viewer, as Bonvicini often does, establishing that one’s reflection, one’s posture, one’s movement in relation to the piece, is part of its meaning. Her mirror works fold together the formal languages of industrial construction, feminist critique, bodily presence, and the social politics of material.

Bonvicini has recently held major solo exhibitions at institutions, such as Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin; Kunst Museum Winterthur and Kunsthaus Graz.
