Anke Kempkes in conversation with Mikołaj Sobczak
On 6 November, join us at Il Palmerino, the former home of writer and art critic Vernon Lee, for an evening exploring queer ghosts, embodied perception, and the haunting persistence of desire and history.
A talk by Anke Kempkes brings Lee’s supernatural fiction into dialogue with her pioneering theories of aesthetic experience, queer histories, and the body. Followed by URANINO (9’30”), a gothic fiction film by our Fellow Mikołaj Sobczak, filmed at Il Palmerino and haunted by the ghosts of Vernon Lee’s writing and the histories that refuse to disappear.
