Otobong Nkanga will receive the 2026 Finkenwerder Art Prize. The encouragement prize will be awarded to Leyla Yenirce. The public award ceremony will take place on May 21, 2026, as part of an exhibition at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts.

 

For the award ceremony, both artists will present solo shows at the ICAT – Institute for Contemporary Art & Transfer of the HFBK Hamburg.
