Talk: 'WhAT CAN ARCHITECTURE DO FOR YOU?' NEUE NATIONALGALERIE, Berlin
September 27, 2022 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Following the debut with Pritzker Prize winner Francis Kéré and artist Asta Gröting in March 2022, the Neue Nationalgalerie and Euroboden Architekturkultur will host the second instalment of the "What Can Architecture Do for You?" series on September 27, 2022. Lebanese architect Lina Ghotmeh (Paris/Beirut) and Israeli artist Yael Bartana (Berlin/Tel Aviv/Amsterdam) will discuss the ways in which architecture and art can support communities in times of crises.

The biannual series of architecture talks at the Neue Nationalgalerie explores the questions of what today’s architecture and architects can do for society, and how architecture can serve to ground us in an increasingly digitalised and threatened world. In the setting of Mies van der Rohe’s iconic exhibition hall, internationally renowned architects will reflect on the duty and potential of their architecture as a mediator between personal desire and public interest. Their keynote will be followed by a discussion with an artist and the audience.
